• We invite pre- and post-conference half day workshops relevant to the ISIC2020 About statement and themes. Please adhere to the dates in the Call for Papers.
  • We especially are interested in workshops on innovative research methods for information behaviour studies, theories and methodological issues and workshops relevant to information literacy and practice theory. Workshops on the transfer of information behaviour research findings to practice are also welcomed. This does not exclude other workshop topics. You are welcome to run your ideas by Ina Fourie (isic2020@up.ac.za) before preparing your proposal.
  • Pre-conference workshops: 28 September 2020 (same date as the doctoral workshop)
  • Post-conference workshops: 2 October 2020
  • If you are interested in convening such a workshop, please submit a workshop proposal containing the following information:
  • • Title
  • • Names, affiliations, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of the workshop organisers
  • • Key issues addressed by the workshop (maximum one page)
  • • Workshop structure
  • • Statements on:
  • o Relevance of the workshop to ISIC2020 themes
  • o Significance of the workshop at this time
  • • Number of attendees that can be accommodated
  • • Requirements for participation (e.g., prior knowledge, skills)
  • • Special needs: venue layout, equipment
  • • Confirmation that the workshop can be covered in half-a-day
  • o Morning session: 9:00 – 12:30 with a tea/coffee break; lunch will not be included
  • o Afternoon session: 13:30 – 17:00 with a tea/coffee break; lunch will not be included
  • Submit your proposal through the ISIC2020 paper submission site at EasyChair ISIC2020. This site is managed using the EasyChair conference management system. If you do not have an EasyChair account, you have to sign up for an account by following the instructions on the site before submitting your paper.   • Final decisions on acceptance in the conference programme will be made by the ISIC2020 Chair of the Local Organising Committee and the ISIC Steering Committee Chair Officers.
